Lifeguard’s Office

Lifeguard's Office

By Martin Roos Holm,

I went to Bellevue beach north of Copenhagen in an effort to try and get a daylight long exposure shot with more or less water calm on the day and the weather was beautiful on a very nice January winter’s day. It was my first time trying to smooth out the cloud and water movement using this technique and I think it turned out ok. I also think it captured the feel and ambience of the 2 seconds the shot was exposed in the camera well. The tower is one of the original lifeguard towers from 1932. As far as I have been able to find out they were designed by the Arne Jacobsen. The towers are no longer in use but are protected and hence must be preserved.
